System Discovery
Panaptico builds a live map of your environment — resources, configs, relationships, access paths. Not a one-time audit. A continuous feed that keeps implementation grounded in reality.

The gap
Most implementation teams start work without understanding what's already there. Configurations are undocumented, dependencies are invisible, and the current state lives in someone's head — or nowhere at all. Teams make changes blind, discover conflicts halfway through, and spend weeks untangling issues a proper discovery would have caught on day one.
State lives in heads
The person who knew how the Okta → Workday federation was wired left in March. The runbook never existed.
Dependencies stay invisible
You touch the Databricks workspace and find out three downstream ETLs were reading from it only when they fail.
Inventory ≠ understanding
CMDBs list 148k CIs. They don't tell you which ones matter to this week's change.
Multi-provider connectors
Every connector resolves objects and the edges between them. That's what lets Panaptico answer “what does this change actually touch?”
| Connector | Objects resolved | Edges resolved | Freshness | Facts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| IAM · VPC · Lambda · RDS · EKS · S3 · KMS | IAM → resources · SG → peers · Role assumption | 2.1s | 14,208 | |
| Users · Groups · Apps · Rules · MFA factors | SAML federations · SCIM targets · Group → App | 1.4s | 18,482 | |
| Jobs · Workspaces · Warehouses · Clusters · Secrets | Job → DataSource · Cluster → IAM · Notebook → Repo | 3.8s | 1,218 | |
| Hosts · Sensors · Detections · Policies | Host → Identity · Detection → MITRE · Policy → Group | 2.7s | 11,248 | |
| CIs · Services · Relationships · Change Requests | Depends-on · Runs-on · Owned-by · Routes-to | 14s | 148,291 | |
| Networks · Switches · APs · Clients · Policies | VLAN topology · Client → AP · Policy bindings | 6.2s | 1,840 |

Identity flows. Network paths. Data pipelines. Integration points. Panaptico resolves the edges between systems so “what depends on this?” has an answer before you ship.
Real-time state sync
The map stays current as the environment moves. Creates, updates, deletions, re-links — every change is picked up, attributed, and reconciled against the plan.
IAM role DataOps-Ro created in aws-prod-412 — linked to 14 Databricks jobs
Okta group FinOps-Admins gained 4 members — SCIM propagated to 6 apps
ServiceNow CI cmdb_ci_server/sn-48291 linked to Meraki switch ms250-24p
Workday org tree v2026-04 published — 84 role mappings re-evaluated
GitHub team data-platform archived — 18 repo permissions removed
Azure VM vm-pwrbi-prd-11 moved from West US 2 → East US 2
Implementation-scoped focus
Inventory tools dump everything. Panaptico scopes the map to your active implementation — so the 418 things that matter this sprint aren't lost in 148k that don't.
148,291
configuration items across 14 tools
Every asset, every relationship, forever. “What matters?” is not answered.

entities in scope · 184 apps · 84 groups · 12 BUs · 138 artifacts
0.28% of total inventory · every entity tied to a plan task or evidence artifact.
Discovery that tells you what changes when you touch something — before you touch it.
